I was recently asked to write an article for online journal the headteacher, focusing on why ICFP is different in its application within the primary context and what the strengths of it might be. Why does it represent value, and are the metrics as applicable as they appear within the secondary phase?
I make the case that the conversations are different and the application of the metrics will always have a different concentration but using them builds the case for stronger funding availability within this foundational stage of the education process.
There also remains the thorny issue of class sizes and what should we be aiming for within this stage of the process.
